About

Plain-English help for getting real work off your plate with AI. Who's behind it, and what you'll find here.

Hi, I'm Anouk

I've worked in IT for 30 years, most of it untangling how big organisations get their work done, at places like NAB, BHP and Telstra. Today I design AI automation for a large Australian company, and I build AI tools of my own. I live in Melbourne.

I love tinkering with all of this. But I love it most when it takes something off someone's plate: one task they do every week, handed to one tool they can trust, and they get those hours back.

What this is

The Survivor's Guide is plain-English help for getting real work off your plate with AI. No hype, no jargon, no doom.

It's written for people who do it all themselves: the bookings, the invoices, the newsletter, the website, and the actual work they started the business for. The same ideas work in big companies too, and now and then I'll write about that side as well.

Why "the apocalypse"? Because that's how the AI news feels some days: everything changing at once, and everyone shouting that you'll be left behind. This is the calm guide for getting through it with your business, and your weekends, still in one piece.
